VX2450WM 24 inch monitor replaced a four year old 22 inch monitor that did not support full 1920 x 1080 HD resolution which my new computer supports. This one does, and the picture is excellent. The blacks clearly are blacker on this one than on the old. For that matter, all the colors seem more vibrant. I also like the power switch which is centered on the bottom edge of the bezel in a clear plastic extension. Combined with my Hauppage WinTV-HVR card, the monitor delivers excellent over-the-air high definition viewing. The monitor and stand are very lightweight which makes moving it quite easy, but the stand is also wide enough at the bottom to make the entire thing very stable. Well worth the investment.
Very stylish monitor which I bought without seeing. In my area they appear to have no retail outlets; only sold online. It is better than I expected, and I am fully satisfied visually. Only quibble: the weak speakers. I compensate with additional external speakers for movie watching etc. A great purchase. Although this is not a name brand item the quality certainly seems to say name brand item. I have never owned a Viewsonic screen before but is very comparable to other LED LCD screens. I will likely buy from this company again.
